So I was just watching this mini-series movie on A&E called The Andromeda Strain. I had to change the channel because I missed most of the first part. Luckily, it's on again tonight @11pm-3am. Gonna have to watch it. Looks awesome. So if you're looking for something cool to watch tonight, check it out.

I just bought "THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN" book, written by Michael Crichton from a local book shop. Gonna read now :)

Is it? BTW, I've alomost finished reading the book. If I get the CD, I'll watch the movie also. I'll post my comments here after I do both.

That's cool. I'm not a big reader but the movie was pretty cool for a made for t.v. movie. They are actually talking about it on The Colbert Report right now, lol.

I remember hearing about this coming on but apparently I missed it! Do you know if it's going to be on, yet again even though I missed it the first two times?

I did a search and didn't see anything, but I would think they would replay it.

I'm watching it now. It's definitely extended a lot on the original movie that was made in the 70s or 80s (the original is excellent, by the way). Also, I highly recommend the book by Michael Crichton. It's pretty good. This new version of the movie is pretty exciting. I like it a lot, although, the part where they blackmail Dr. Barton is kind of strange... that never showed up anywhere in any version of the story. Also, the part where Andromeda is sentient is new.

Yeah, I watched the whole thing when they reran it. I liked it but the end was a let down. It just seemed a bit corny and kinda seemed like an ending for every other made-for-tv scifi movie. Other than that, it was good.
