How to maintain good presence of Mind

Mind is the master of life. Its very important to keep the master cool and calm. There are many ways to keep a good presence of mind like "Yoga", "Aerobics", "Good Diet" , "Playing games"... many more... I feel that to have a timely diet and little bit of meditation shall tame my mind. What do you think or do to keep your mind calm far from lively tensions..?

I am not sure if it is the same as "yoga", but I think meditation is a good way to refresh your mind. It doesn't have to be the "indian crossed leg sitting" thing, humming and ohmming. But just go to a quiet place, or in your own room during late at night where everything in the sorrounding is quiet. Then just relax your body and mind. Free your mind, like trying to blank it, ( I said "trying" because I know it's not that easy) I haven't perfected it yet, but I tried and it's really refreshing.
