How would you rate the corruption in your country? Baser on the position of the people involve? the extension and damage in terms of economy? the rate of prosecution and the rate of conviction? Since mylot is a venue for all countries, for all nationals, I think I can get a pretty good survey on how corruption rates in other countries compare to mine. In my country corruption rates at 75% out of 100, that's pretty bad.

I'm an american living in Mexico, and it's bad here. But I haven't had many problems myself other than getting pulled over a couple of times for no reason except my plates are from TX and thats like a gringo magnet! I had to give the cops 20 to 40 dollars and they went thier way and I went mine. I know it goes on but as I say it's only been a couple of times in 8 yrs.

I'm from Singapore and ofically there is no corruption. Seriously, even though we are geographically in the third world, you actually have to go through a process when bidding for government contracts and don't even try and bribe the cops. However, we seem to have allot of coincidences. For example, certain companies always win government contracts. You have situations where the members of the boards of certain companies tend to be made up of the same people. You also find that when certain people go to court to sue you for libel, they always win. And then again when you try to write an article that agree with the government, the editor can't wait to publish while the articles that disagree policies, you'll find the editor making hard editorial decisions not to publish what you write.

i'd say ranking corruption in our country as 75% of 100 is very kind. am i being too negative? corruption in our country emanates from the highest office in the land and it's so so sad.to me, the dignity and honor of being in public office nowadays is fast diminishing. and it seems that those in the highest position doesn't seem to know what they are doing. woh, i can't wait for 2010. i just hope that the next president would love our country more than himself. please let us all pray for our country. i can't help but feel afraid of what the future holds for our children.
