sleeping for long time is good or bad for health?could you tell me

i think sleeping for long time is hard to do lol!we can only sleep for almost 8 hours that is the complete sleep..but some people sleep for long hours.after they wake up they feel headaches.sleeping helps us togain and restore energy.

Hi friend as you said sleeping for 8 hours is fine but i could not find time for sleeping 8 hours.I am working for almost10 hours in office and then traveling to home for more than hour then i eat,by the time i go to bed it is almost 11pm.Next i have to get up early in the morning again the same process.so how am i suppose to find sleep for 8 hours

maybe we just have different daily routine,time managment.that's why you have that amount of sleep.you're a busy body and time almost spend on work and travel..but you will have that 8 hours sleep if you want it lol. thanks for the message/

i would say that sleeping a good 8 to 10 hours is good anything beyond that would be pushing the envelope a bit. i know that i just dont feel awake if i havent had at least 8 hours of sleep...if i have 10 im like awsome for the day. and i find i sleep better at night if i got my proper rest the night before. and one other thing that ive heard is when your body wakes up naturally it means you have had the proper amount of sleep for that night and you might as well get up.

i think sleeping long time is bad cause it makes u lathargic and lasy, infact sleeping less like 6 hrs per day is fine to health.

but some doctors prefer sleeping for 8 hours will do good for health.what is your opinion regarding this

There's no exact answer .Eight hours are enough to us......Why have you put this question? Could it be that you are often obsessed with "sleeping for long or short "?In my opinion,if i want to sleep ,i will sleep for a whole day.....hah,but it isn't good for my health,iknow.I just do what i want to do .Just do....

sleeping for a long time is definetly bad for health.Any person below 45-50 years is supposed to sleep for max 6.5 hrs a day.Although i have heard that sleeping burns double the calories as walking.But you gotta sllep like 10-12 hrs a day for that to happen.
