How do you get the hairspray off of other surfaces from overspray? I'm having trouble getting it off of the walls and bathroom vanity. I've tried numerous different cleaners and my own concoctions from others advice. I want to find a tried and true solution, so I don't have to mess with it....just clean it and go. What do you use or have you heard about?

Cheap shaving cream will remove stubborn hairspray off walls, mirrors, sinks, floors, etc.

Thank you for your response! I've never tried shaving cream, nor ever heard of using it. I will though, as it may be the last thing I will ever need!

I tried the shaving cream, but I bought the gel kind...It worked wonders on the sinktop! Kudos to your smartness!

I use hot water. That seems to be the main thing for me. Then I can use whatever cleaner I want but without the hot water, no cleaner alone works for me. If it is on the floor (un-carpeted) I create a little puddle of hot water on the floor and that really loosens it up there. Let me know what you find to be the best solution, if it happens to be better than using hot water.

This really makes sense to me! I've not tried anything yet, but you do use hot water to unplug the nozzle so...yeah will add hot water to whatever I try! Thanks!

Jo, I use regular Windex or Kitchen (Clorox) Cleaner with Beach when I clean at Mom's. She has an awful lot of over spray and I do this every time I visit. It might take a few applications of letting it soak before it removes it entirely. (((HUGS)))

I think I've tried Clorox Cleanup with Bleach...possibly even Windex. Does Windex come with bleach already added? You do a great job of cleaning up at Mom's, by the way....(((HUGS)))
