GRRRRR...spent an hour on a post and it's just GONE!!!!!

I just spent an extensive amount of time repying to a post and when I clicked on "Post" got an error message. Clicked the back button and it's just gone!!!!!:(
I have no intention of re-writing it now, it was way too long!!!
Frustrating!!!

i had the same problem with you yesterday. i just punch the wall because of it.. its really a hard work for a post know`. but still i replied with the discussion but not the typical post i wanted to post. its kinda` discouraging.. X(

Actually, what made me feel better was when I tagged this discussion. I wrote:
myLot, post, gone, stupid, angry, grrrr
When I read it back it made me giggle and I felt better already!
I won't actually hit the wall, but it sounds good, don't it?

I'm sorry to hear that. I believe our fellow MyLotters share the same sentiments as you have. Well, it does happen almost everyday (at least 1) and you have to type again. Once you reach 500 posts you can copy and paste. Well, don't worry, it does happen and most of the time, we have no control over it. Take care.

I haven't had that problem much here, but I feel for you it is and can be very frustrating. Used to happen ALOT to me on MSN, YuKu, Ezboard, proboards...all l the messageboards, actually. I learned years ago to ALWAYS copy and paste a post (especially if it is long), just in case. I can understand how doubley frustrating that can be here, though, before you reach your first 500 posts. Try not to let it get you down though, computers and the internet are funny things, working like a charm one day and all kinds of problems the next....

Yes, even if I had thought to copy and paste it into a document, it would have been easy enough to rewrite (as I can't yet paste in myLot). But I just couldn't go throught the whole process of formulating the words and perfecting the structure again.
Oh well, I think of it as a post that shouldn't have been.
For whatever reason, the powers that be have rejected it, and who am I to force it? ;)

i must say that i have been lucky enough to not have had to experience that! there have been a couple of times that while posting i've had to get up and do something else and by the time i get back to the computer to finish, i've completely forgotten what i was saying. i think that's just as annoying because you have to wonder where you were going with what you were saying.

It happens to me too at times and I get really angry or disappointed. I sometime quickly copy my post before I hit submit but alot of times I forget to do so and if I happen to get an error, well I lose it and don't bother to post it again.

I lost atleast 3-4 post that way today and I just fell like shutting my computer and sleep but i really am trying my best to reach payout hence I have been posting and posting for some hours now and all I have manged it 40 odd post, i was thinking of atleast 50-60 posts today but i guess i will have to be satisfied with this many for i am really feeling sleepy now and if if i don't hit the bed now I will be sleeping on my chair lol.
