What is the best way to lose weight?

I would like to lose couple of pounds. What is the best way to lose weight? Have you ever been able to lose good amount of weight? What diet do you follow?

I quit drinking soda and I lost about 30 pounds in 2 months! So if you drink a lot of soda, switch to water. Also I exercise about four times a week now for about a hour and a half so I can keep the weight off!

i can suggest what i adopted i done 2 things 1. i balanced my daily diet by consuming all necessary nutrients that is needed in a typical day 2. doing regular exercise ... i opted swimming .. i do 30 mins regular swimming as an exercise

Well I am tryiong to loose weight and I started with one hour walk and then moved on to workouts in gym and some aerobics -not exactly started on them but doing some simple strtching excersises. So far have shred only four KGs but as you know there is no substitute for hardwork.

For me the best way to lose weight is to count calories. It helps me to practice portion control and find healthy foods which will not make me put on weight. I do find it hard to maintain weight loss once I stop counting calories. Not so much because I stop the physical counting but because I just lose the desire to be thin and start eating anything I like again. I do find that exercising helps a lot but I think the key to maintaining weight loss is to adopt a healthy eating plan, avoiding high fat and high sugar foods, trying to use as many raw ingredients as possible (so not eating processed food) and to avoid eating out and take outs as much as you can.
