How often do you clean the walls in your house??? What do you use to clean them?? I started cleaning my walls this week, and saw a great big difference. My husband smokes, so you can see it coming off the walls. I use hot water with laundry detergent and a little bit of bleach. works great and is cheap.

I did this last night for I smoke in my apartment and every 6 months I will go around and clean the walls from floor to ceiling. I will say it's a tiresome job but it looks a little better when I am done. I hate cleaning them for I have flat based paint on the walls and was useing a reg. cleaner w/ hot water and it seemed to have been dulling the paint. I used reg. dish detergent w/ hot water last night and it looks ok but could look better. I will try your method and see if it works but only if it is ok for this kind of paint I have flat based paint.

I don't clean mine nearly enough. I usually use just bleach water. But I like your concoction a little better. I bet it would be a lot easier on my hands, and my eyes and nose for that matter. I smoke too and I can definitely tell the difference when I do clean them.
