Money is one of the main causes of strife between couples and sometimes disagreement over this important item has lead to the dissolution of many marriages. Sometimes the wife feels the husband has been irresponsible in his spending habits or the husband may feel the wife is too extravagant. In your relationship as a couple do you ever have such issues on money and how do you resolve it?

None so far and I hope not ever! We always decide how much are we going to save each pay day, what to pay and how much and how much are we going to spend for food shopping and other necessities. We always remind each other if ever one will forget that we are already beyond our plan and it works for us. I always need to prepare a list and monitor the budget plan!

i am so happy that you and your spouse already have a program about your finances which works for you ,very few people do this and it usually lead to a lot of problems in marriages sometimes breakdowns

I agree and I am glad for my mom's influence about this aspect although when I was single I was like my dad, after paying all the bills and buying what I need..I don't care about overspending my money and will lead me sometimes spending some of what will I earn next payday..bad habit..LOL!

money comes and goes, before you ever get married or even think of marriage both persons inside the relationship should have themselves established , say like solid jobs , and also spending habits too , then again no one likes when a person tells them how to spend their money ...thus comes the attitdues of " you telling me what to do " then leading into verbal fights , thus to break up , ..but what i said earlier should be the very first thing to ever happen , adn some might say what if one of the persons losses a job and cant find work ? well thats what the solid job is for , to support not only the worker but the family also..and lastly i always say money is always a last ditch effort to bail out on a realtionship maybe not those exact word but its something to that degree , to me its also other factors besides money that leads to a break up ,

yes other factors also may be responsible for breakdown but really the issue of having a solid job may not be easy because in a situation where one party with a good job looses his job what happens?is there any certainty in this world we live in nOw?

I know that, but when the other person will not sit down and does not want to discuss it, then there is not much that you can do! I know it has been a long time for me, at first I thought all you had to know was how to solve problems! But some people like problems, and do not want to compromise!

you are right about that but the question is how many couples actually understand themselves especially in the area of their finances?
