Recycling in your home

My news years resolution this year was to recycle and conserve. I have been so surprised at how easy it is to do. We recycle all that we can in our town. We do not have curbside pickup. We have to take our recyclables into the center ourselves. We only have two small bags of trash now per week. Amazing! I would like to start a neighborhood program. What are your thoughts, ideas? Please let me know.

In my hometown of Guelph Ontario, we all got involved. We all sort out our garbage into coloured bags. Blue = paper, glass, metal Green = Compost Clear = Everything else The garbage people pick them up and they go to the centre to be recycled.

Our garbage people do not pick up recycling. You have to take it yourself if you want to recycle. I really wish they would do it for us!
