There are some sounds that just get to us... I really have a hard time with loud noises, especially when I am busy paying attention to other things. I jump up like a jack in the box. I also really dislike hearing fingers on a chalk board, cats in heat and the sound of a Santa Ana Wind which is loud because usually there is alwo along witht the sound of the intense gusts of wind, the sound of things like my pots and planters falling over. What are the noises that you dislike? Describe them so we will know what they sound like too.

Loud knocks and other strange noises coming from the car do in fact cause a person to really pause... It is never a good thing. Thanks for posting.

I hate listen to the shriek. It often make my heart feel bad and faint.

I am hoping that you don't have to hear too many of them then. Thanks for posting.

Hi there White Heron! I also don't like the sound of fingers on chalk board. And ever since I became a mom, I started having problems with the sound of someone crying. It's like I can't think straight and all that I will think about is how to make it stop that's why I'm always being accused of spoiling my son and my nephew.

That sound of fingernails... is so bad that I did not even want to type where the fingernails are on. grins. I am hoping that the crying of little ones is less and your ability to deal with it when it comes is better. Thanks for posting

I hate to hear someone nag. I can't live with a nagger. My ears explode when they talk and ruins my mood. They just make noise and don't discuss things like civilized people.

nag, nag, nag... I have found that it sometimes pays to listen and then start praising the good things about the person doing the nagging, Give the nagger more love, more care, etc. rather than doing what you feel like doing which is to bolt or hit. This will eventually pay off and will cause that person to become easier to be with and to deal with At least this is my experience. Thanks for posting

The sounds that I do definitely not want to hear at all are cat sounds; meow, dog barking, footsteps, loud music and wildness, pounding/banging, or anything like that at all. Especially when the walls and ceilings are not soundproof at all. They are all annoying constantly. Couple times already, I was trying to sleep when there was a loud group band playing couple buildings down. So I had to call the police to get that situation taken care that way I can sleep better. Right? What do you think?
