A two year-old baby died after drinking heroin mistaken for fruit juice. How in the world did that methadone get in the house in the first place? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1023067/Toddler-dies-mistaking-heroin-substitute-juice.html

How tragic! I can't help thinking either how in the world did it get mistaken for fruit juice and why was it in the house in the first place. I know that mistakes can happen and that as parents, one should at least make that effort to child proof ones house. Its the least that we can do to minimize accidents. I can't imagine giving the same to my child. Ewww! Before I give my child something most of the time, I even taste it or have a sip of it just in case its something that has expired or spoiled already. Even the vitamins of my children, I get to taste them. Again, I may be not be most parents because I am indeed paranoid. I even eat what my child eats baby food and all. Better safe than sorry.

The child can't read for sure, but parents should. It just irks me how this stupid mistake ever happened. I am on the lookout for any follow-up news about it.
