Fitness- Whey Protein

Hi... My trainer has asked me to add Whey Protein in my diet..now I have been getting several feedbakc about it. Many people are saying not to take it... as it will add up to my weight... to let you know I want to loose 5 kgs and I will hit may target... My trainer and Nutritionist have asked to take 1/4 scoop thrice a day. I have started taking it... but twice a day... I still have some doubt about it... please advise if anyone have taken it.....Is it ok to take Whey protein..I 267 yrs old/ f...
