are you saving for your retirement or do u think you will be able to live off social security-well i'm not saving and the social security will not be enough,if i don't make enough from mylot my only other option is to get a job at a diner maybe in pennsylvania--smile--

Yes, mostly thru pension plans, 401k, stock etc. If SS exists, it will only help, it won't be enough. My grandparents are spending their retirement money 3 times as fast as anticipated due to health issues. Getting old sucks. Agree?

We are saving for retirement. I know social security will not be enough ~ and possibly it will not even be around when I reach retirement. We try to put back as much as we can, but for now that isn't much. It is a struggle to survive in this world today, but we all do the best we can.

I've just started to save this year. I don't know if Social Security will be around forever so I'm trying to save my own money.
