The thing that puzzle me most

Every year when the fruit tree start to flower again, i know that another fruit season is just around the corner. It is such a wonderful even, this gift of fruits from the tree and I very thankful that we can enjoy there sweet succulent fruits. However, something puzzle me - it is the tree themselves. How could they know when to flower? Did they communicate with each other? From what i learn from school, tree do not possess calenders nor communicate with other. So how do we explain it? I am puzzled.
