i was writing a discussion about alarming things that you have witnessed personally, and when i went to "start discussion", mylot had deleted my discussion saying that my punctuation was incorrect and then it logged me off. what's that all about. has that happened to someone else?

That is weird. I've gotten messages that some of my words were unacceptable (which is odd considering the words that I used were harmless), but never have they mentioned my punctuation and logged me off. I don't think I've ever been logged off without doing it on purpose.

I have never heard of that happening before. I am not even sure how it would detect punctuation when it does not even look for misspelled words; only nasty words are looked at and denied. That is just some strangeness.

I have never had that happen. That is strange. The only kind of messages I have gotten is a word being unacceptable. The word was not used in a wrong way but in the United States one word can have a lot of different meanings. So the site took the wrong meaning and sent a message that I was using a word that is unacceptable.

It could be a glitch. I have had something similar happen to me before, not really the same kind but a glitch-like thing, but I attribute it to some kind of technical malfunction either on my part or that of the mylot algorithm. The reason I call it a glitch is that I see all kinds of incorrect punctuation here and even worse than that but they stay persisted for long periods of time without getting deleted. Cheers!!
