A local junior high school forced students to attend the program which taught "that Adam, Noah, and Jesus were all prophets like Mohammed; the basic tenets of Islam; the process of how to pray five times a day;" The principal was ordered by the superintendant of the school district not to have the program and did anyway. I would be angry too! Kids aren't even allowed to mention Jesus in school most of the time and instead, we have a principal who forced them to listen to a pro-Islamic program. http://www.onenewsnow.com/Education/Default.aspx?id=129040

religion should be taught in church and then there would be no fighting about who should learn what, everyone would go to there own church, mosque, synagogue or temple.

That would have upset me too. It should have been a choice, not forced. What was he thinking?

I understand that she schools need to teach about other ethic groups to help students understand but there should not have been a huge program about it. The school could have explained the culutre and stayed away from the religion.

That would be one school that my children would not be attending. Surely that is no different from all the other religious subjects which are not allowed in school.

Oh this would make me angry as well..Fiest off its a lie, second of all if you cannot meation "Jesus" you should not be able to meation Mohammed, whoever that is...Thats why i took my children out of public school..I sent my chilren to a private christian school, and i was so blessed to be able to do that.I know that some people cannot afford that and its not fair for those children to have Mohammed pushed down their throats...I do not like for my children to be taught false hoods,it would make me very angry...

This should never have happened, but we all know that the whole separation of church and state myth is only aimed at Christians. The fact that the principal was ordered not to allow this program and did it anyway should result in her immediate and permanent dismissal, and she should never be allowed to work in education again. As to Islam, it should be held to the same standards as Christianity, if the one can't be mentioned in school, then the either shouldn't be allowed either.
