Making him the first A.A. candidate for presidet in the US. How are mylotters feeling about this? Do you feel he was or is a better candidate then Hillary- would you have been happier seeing Hillary go up again Senator J. McCain? I personally feel that although Obama is a better candidate than Hillary- I see another J.F.K or Bobby Kennedy incident on the rise if you know what I'm saying. I don't think many people want to see a black man as president of the United States and many will probably take some drastic measures against it. I hope it does not happen this way- but - you always have to wonder if he will be able to finish his presidency if he does win.

I saw Hillary's concession speech last night. Do you think Obama will ask her to be his V.P.? I have mixed feelings. I do not think she would like to be "2nd banana". The whole thing would have probably play better if Hillary got the nomination and Obama as V.P. because she has the experience. What a year though! First woman and first African/American! NettyB

Although she may have experience- that fact can, and is, in my opinion being held against her- I believe it is one of the reasons she did not win the candidacy. The American people seem to want a fresh face and outlook in the white house. Putting Hillary back there is just like putting Bill back in office. I couldn't see her as V.P. either- just because of all the name calling and bashing she did of him during this whole primary. I just don't see them seeing eye to eye on many issues.

You know I've been saying the same thing. I hope this man is well protected. Personally I was happy to see him get nominated for the office. I am hoping this man actually wins (still think McCain is going to take it) and I believe he will effect change just because of who he is. I am appalled at the number of people that condemn him and accuse him of being a Muslim (like thats a bad thing). When I heard he was a Muslim (even though it proved to be false) I was even more interested in seeing the man win the election. I am just happy to see any kind of change in our government.
