What’s the best way to introduce children to art?

You almost don’t need to introduce children to art, because most children love to make their own works. \ Introducing them to the great works of the past is another matter, but even that isn’t too hard. Avoid making a visit to a museum an academic exercise; instead, let kids ask questions and find interesting things. Young children are usually much more interested in subject matter than in who did the painting or when it was done. If you can’t understand (or remember) the stories and symbols, try to come up with a story based on what you see.Remember that children have a short attention span—many museums have special areas for kids who need more active forms of art appreciation.

I think maybe having a few books around the house can help, I remember when I was a little girl picking up some of my mums really good books and spending hours looking at the beautiful shiny pictures...
