Jigsaw for 40 years service at work!

My friend was telling me about one of her neighbours who had reached 40 years of service at his work. As a reward he was able to choose a gift from a special catologe and his choice was a jigsaw!! She asked what the picture was on the jigsaw box, feeling puzzled what a strange gift to choose for 40 years service (a jigsaw puzzle) He started laughing and said it wasn't a 200 piece jigsaw but an eletric jigsaw he could use for his carpentry hobby.

LOL. Maybe he thought that he'd have a lot of time to put the thing together and when he did and saw the picture, that would remind him what he really should have chosen! He did better than me. I received a letter thanking me for 31 years signed by someone I had never heard of. Probably a temp. Such is life.

ha ha ha, now that makes much more sense, and I thought like you that it was a jigsaw puzzle and he had some deep meaning for the reason he chose that.
