what is life in your opinion?

I have thought about this question for almost one year, but unfortunately,I got no satisfactory answer. No one can deny the fact that there is an end in every human's life,so why should we pursue so many things like success and so on?why should we dedicate ourselves to our society?Everything seems meaningless in the face of death.I know such thoughts are rather extreme, but I couldn't find a answer to persuade myself not to think like that. Could you help me?Can you give me some answers?

For me, life is about others. If life is all about ourself, we could have been created alone, but we were not. So for me life is about others. To share, to help, to love and to enjoy. Laughter when shared is doubled. For me life is how much we have contribute on making a person into a person of worth and value.

I think no man is an island applies here. Yes life is too short to be miserable. Let us enjoy life to the fullest! You don't have to apologize, I am not even sure if my grammar is correct. As long as it is understandable, that is all that matters. Be happy!

I believe that you are leading a cheerful life. How I envy you.Yes,we can get happiness from helping others. But I doubt the opinion that life is absolutely about others.I couldn't sever others whole-heartedly.Maybe I am selfish because I just can't behave like what you are doing.Maybe I am still not mature enough.Thank you for your comment, maybe you are leading me to a bright road! My English is not good enough to express myself clearly and rightly. If you find some errors in this response or any comments related to me,it would be my honor to receive your correction. Thank you!

Life is a precious gift given to us by God.We all know that the end will come but for that we cannot deny ourselves the happines that is ours. One must live in the present. We should not waste time and energy worrying about the past or fretting about the future.By doing this one will be able to accept and appreciate one's life. This will make one more aware of the present. It is easy to see only the negative side of life.We should be thankful for the many blessings that surround us, this will make you realize how meaningful life is.If you read some inspriational books or some religious books that will help you get the answers you are searching for.All the best to you.

Yeh ,I do agree with you ... We must live in the present . It's not only because of tomorow is made up of the moment ,but also the truth that if we are addicted to the thinking of the past and future we will never get what we want and change the past ... ehat about life ...the life for me I think is a part of the endless target and the experience of realising it and a part of engjoying the experience and sharing the joy moment with our realitions ... But all that we do in the moment ,right now ,not the past or the future...

I think you have to read back what your religion taught you about living, what you have to do as a human being, what's your responsible, what's the end you have to achieve in view of your religion. If you think about all the needs as a human being, you'll find you never satisfied. So, think what you should act as what was taught by your religion. Unless you have no religion, then I can say nothing.

Yeah, your opinion is a good way to solve this problem, but unfortunately,as an freshman,I really have no religion. In China,it seems to me that many peaple also have no religion.Besides,I think that having a religion means relief in a sense, but also restriction in some aspects,Isn't it true?

You understand what religion is all about, what you can and what you can't. But, that's not all of it. Religion is a way of living. Why MyLot needs terms of use? Why there's restriction here? And then why we can post about anything here? Same question goes to religion. Otherwise everthing will out of control.
