Emails to answer.

I have not been very active for the last 3 months since I have recently moved to another province. I am now back in mylot and I have a seperate email address just for mylot and today I noticed I have over 4000 emails to answer to. They go back as far as three months so all my friends are going to see some activity on some of their old discussions. I am working on a few new ones everyday and then going to the last page of my emails and starting on some of the old ones. Have you done this in the past or do you just delete them all and start fresh? Do you get some of your old discussions renewed again because of people like me? Do you like that someone responds to your old ones and makes them renew so others can see them and respond some more to them? So if you are on my friends list and see that your old discussions are being responded to, it is because of me renewing them by my responding late to them. I hope this will make some of my friends really happy.

hi chris! i have also been inactive here in myLot. proof is this, your old discussion being responded by me only just now. ^__^;; i am currently responding to two-month old discussions which have been sent to me by email notifications. i have at least 800 notifications in my inbox today and i'm hoping i can reduce it dramatically, like to 600 or 500 before the month ends. i am also hoping that whoever own those old discussions would be happy if it resurfaces again because of me. ^__~ i don't delete them all although i select discussions to which i can contribute something. i delete those which i cannot relate with because it would only be nonsense to respond to it right? i also start on the oldest but if there are new discussions that needs to be answered right away, like a myLotter talking about her birthday, then i would respond to it immediately. after that, i would go back to the bottom again and respond to old discussions. it just seems like a waste not to respond to them.

really? myLot's been deleting discussions lately? i wonder why. i guess i have to be careful too. i know what you mean about your time being wasted. there was a time when i was working hard and it was around the time when my earnings would be updated. i had posted a lot only to find out later that i didn't gain much on it. i thought since i was working around the time of updating my earnings, maybe the earnings for what i have worked on will be carried on the next day, but it never happened. i worked hard for nothing. anyway, let's do our best and just enjoy myLotting.

I am also responding to some new ones, same day discussions, but I am going to stop doing that too, because so many of them are being deleted and I am getting deducted for them. For example, just the other day I responded to all new discussions and I did 25 of them, but the very next day when I logged in, I saw my number went down by 8 so that means 8 of them were deleted. It is just too frustrating for me to do all that work to have them deleted. It takes me about an hour to do 8 good responses so I waisted an hour that day, for nothing. So I am waiting again for a few days before responding, to make sure it doesn't get deleted. Mylot is deleting so many of them these days, and it is making me mad because most of them, I don;t see why they were deleted as I don't see them breaking any guidelines.

Sure is a great way to reactivate older discussions which is kind of nice and letting your friends know you are still interested in their discussions. Sorry about your hubby. That is along time to invest in a partner and a marriage commitment. Addiction like that is so sad. But so glad you are picking up and moving on with life. Maybe some day he will realize that he really did have it all and lost it. And I am not referring to the money...

Thank you, yes I am loving it. I haven't had a home for almost 2 years now. We were living with family and friends so long that I had to leave my hubby and start over again. My hubby is addicted to gambling and he spends every penny he makes gambling and so we couldn't afford a place of our own. I finally gave up on him recovering from it and I have moved on, after 19 years of marriage. I now have a home again and I am working hard to keep it. I am working on a few new discussions and then I go to the oldest ones and work on those. That is why some of my friends see me responding to their old ones. I have also noticed that after I respond to them, others respond too, So this is a good way to activate some of the old ones and hopefully earn more money for my friends.

We have been talking and he is going to meetings for it, and I have spoken to his councelor on the phone and he seems to be doing better. He has proven to me, for now, that he can quit gambling, by showing me his bank account statements and in the four months I have left him, he has saved over $8,000. He has a great management job and makes pretty good money so now he is finally saving some of it. He wants me to come back and he knows if there is to be any chance at all for us, he has to prove it to me, that things can change. He has offered to give me his bank card and even change the name on his account to mine, and let me control the money. But I am still afraid that it is all talk so he needs to keep going to councelling meetings and show me. He says he is willing to do whatever it takes for me to come back. He says he loves me and will prove it to me, by treating me good and with respect. So time will tell.

email - email is the fast way for us to reach the others wherever we are.
Hello dear chrislotz. Welcome back to mylot after three months. Yeah, I can guess that you are now having thousands of mylot email notifications for three-month absence. Right now I have more than 10000 even if I respond to discussions every day, but I do not respond to as many discussions as I used to because I have been busy in the past month. But now I think that I need to try my best to respond to discussions of my friends as many as possible. Also sometimes I go to the last page of the email notifications to find interesting and old discussions months ago. All of the email notifications are kept in stock unless I have read or responded because I don't want to my email inbox congested. lol. Thank you for your discussion, chrislotz.

Wow, 4000 emails! You must be very dedicated to try and respond to that many! I tried that when I was finally well from my hand surgery and gave up. Every time I answered one, a new one showed up. I just couldn't do it.

It's not so much that I am dedicated as I haven't been very active the last few months. But I don't want to search for discussions so I keep them and will do a few old ones after answering to a few new ones.

Hi chrislotz, now I know why I haven’t heard from you for such a long time, I have been wondering where you were. So, I’m glad to read your discussions again and to respond to yours, and thank you for responding to my discussions too, I really appreciate your responses. :) Well, there were times when I needed to go outside the whole day or even week, and I couldn’t post in myLot during those times. So, like your case, I also have special email account for myLot notification and when I got back, there were hundreds notifications in my mailbox. I also sorted them by email subject. That way, I would be able to make sure that this friend or that one have gotten my responses, then I would continue to the next friend’s discussions. So, people in my friend list would also get my responses towards their discussions from the older ones until the newer ones. I think most of us would be happy that our old discussions still got attention from the other users, so, I think your friends would also be happy to see your responses.
