Do you make extra money by saving money?

I was wondering how much money you waste in a day. Do you turn off lights and water when not needed? Do you do the things that will save you money in order to have more in your pocket? Do you pay bills on time, thereby cutting that nasty $5 fee?
Putting this out there as food for thought. I do try my best to cut costs where I can. My family isn't always in line with it and it bugs me to no end when I find a TV or light on that doesn't need to BE on because no one is in the room!
How do you save money?

yes we do because lately we have been instituting meatless meals which save money because we dont have to buy as much meat. we do this quite a lot and will continue doing this in the future.
yes, i hate it when my kids leave the lights on or the tv and we actually ask them for money since they were the one that left if on.

I don't do meatless because I tried that and the man flipped out! So we get meat boxes just to cut costs. Asking for money for leaving stuff on is a cool thing, but it doesn't work when it is the man of the house, bill paying worker that leaves stuff on. You would think he would want to save money, but hey... lol.
