How often do you tag a discussion that you post a response for? Does this at all affect how much an individual earns on this site?

Most of the time when i comment i do tag the discussion. Every now and then I don't tag the discussion. I don't think that it effect the earnings though.

I usually add tags if there are keywords that can classify my post. I always make sure that the keywords are found in my post. I think the keywords are useful for our messages to appear on search engine search result. It is not easy to identify web pages on the web unless we put a tag on each web page. In this way, our posts has bigger chance of appearing on search results. I'm not sure if tags affect our earnings but I'm sure they are helpful on websites like myLot.

I usually skip it. I believe the tags are helpful when people search their interests and may point them to your discussions. More people responding may result and this would increase your earnings.

Tagging is just to make it more convenient for you to find the particular discussion. I realised that after you had post a response or comment, if you were asked to tag then it will be counted as a post, showed by the number beside your name. Did anyone notice that? Hmm, i wonder is it maybe I got mixed up and confused to what I'm posting. lol

I try to put in one or two words when tagging a discussion. I don't know about the extra earning but it makes it easier to find similar discussions through the tags.
