Can you go without myLot for a day?

Well can you? I don't mean if you have no connection to the net or you don't have time or you are too tired. Under normal circumstances, do you think you could surf the web and do your other paying programs and websites without visiting myLot?I know I can't...something about myLot just keeps me coming back even when I am working on other programs. Right now I am doing some Mturk-ing and I am here on myLot reading discussions in between. I want to go write some reviews soon but I always get sidetracked with myLot when doing that. So what is it about this place that just makes you come back for more?! What do you guys think?

I could definitely go without myLot for a day, but i've only been here two weeks so perhaps it just hasn't managed to suck me in yet :P I do make at least a few comments every day though. If I didn't i'd wonder, "What if i'd posted yesterday..." every littl helps.

I could go without, but that doesn't mean I would like it. Actually I thought I would be going without today because I had a busy day planned. However it is 5 pm and I am waiting for the garage to call saying my car is fixed so I doubt I will be going out today. Some days are busier than others. I may miss a day here or there, but it won't bother me much. If I am online though, I pretty much always have mylot open and go back and forth while I do my other stuff. I don't know what it is that hooked me here, but I keep coming back every day. Maybe it's the idea of everybody chiming in with their thoughts.

Hey vic! Hehe, I could go without it but that doesn't mean I'd like it...I like that view! I agree on busy days you just have to do without it but to be honest, once I am out and about I don't think of my online sites so much. It when I come online in leisure time I frequent all of my earning sites but this one just has a magnet it seems!

Yea, I can and I do many days during the month. I think too much here gets me bogged down, bored and not doing what I should be doing in other areas. We go out of town for a weekend every month where I don't usually sign on. Also, if busy on the weekends, I won't check in.

I do agree that it does sidetrack quite a bit. It isn't that bad. Also on trips and stuff, best to enjoy your family and the outdoors!

Hi pkc3000, I also didn't visit this site for over a week when I had to get my computer repaired. But I'm like you, once I am online in leisure time I must come here to see what's going on.

I'm hooked in here, so I think I can't go without myLot for a day. I had experienced 5 days of no internet connection, and I really missed responding to discussions. I have learned so much doing myLot. I've seen informations that are very helpful. And even if I'm busy with my other sites, I come here from time to time to check which discussions interests me to respond to. I want to expand my knowledge, practice my english, share my views and opinions, find answers to what questions my mind, and I guess this is the place that suits all of it.

I have just returned to Mylot after being away for 9 months while working over at Apsense... I did miss MyLot, but I wanted to make Apsense a comfortable place for my Mylot friends to join me if they wished... I like working between two good networks at a time, so that I have enough creative space and features to work with... I have many, many dear Mylot friends from all over the globe, that's what brings me here, and now I have many wonderful friends over at Apsense, too! :)

Hi peaceful, I have to say, you have good self control to work on your other program and stay away from mylot. I don't really come here for the cash, it is an extra incentive yes, but it just draws me back once I am online! May I ask, what is Apsense?

Yup. For a while I would come online and pretty much do everything except the paying sites. I got bored because it's impossible to make money without a downline for me because I can't use my computer as much as when I was a little younger and had no life. I come back because I like the discussions, I don't even notice what I'm being paid because it takes so long.

Hi katisaurus, I like you nic! I agree, having a downline in most sites is key! I don't have a downline in like all of my sites but everything takes time, who knows, by the end of the year I would be in a better place,in terms of having referrals, than i am now. So keep on plugging girl. I enjoy the discussions alot here too, if I were only staying for the money, I would have left before i got started i think... Have a good one

I know that i can go a day without my lot. I have done it; you have to say that you do get tired and have to take a break for a while from this place. Then when you do come back there are more things to comment too. New and old things to comment to and that is the good part. I only wish that I could be on more than what I am.

Hi twallace, Even when I am out all day and get home tired and it is late at night I still get on here and look through the boards, post a couple posts and log off... lol...wow... I do agree, there are times where it is best to just leave it alone cause the discussions are slow. But once I am online and open a new tab in between and type in mylot...and get sidetracked again!

Since I've found this site I understood that I can't go without mylot even a day. I've found here a lot of interesting discussions, many new friends and of course it's very good practice in English for me. I can stay here all day long. But now I limit my time and stay here for two hours only.

Hi Inga, I agree it is lively here most of the times and you can miss so much in a day at times. Your English is very well, keep it up. I honestly have no idea how much time I spend here. It varies from 10 minutes to a few hours but not all at once, it is usually just intervals during the day. Thanks!

I was here a while ago, got fed up, came back, and no I'm hooked just like before. I don't quite know what it is but I suppose it's a mixture of fascination with the discussions and haring what people from all ovr the world think about topics, and the lure of being able to earn a small amount of money doing it. There is something competitive in seeing the points and earnings rise day by day, for instance I can't wait to get to the 500 mark so I can copy some previouis articles I have written for mylot readers to see.

Well MichaelJay, let me be the first to say congratulations on your 500 posts (now 501 as I type this!) So ever figure why you go fed up in the first place? and I do think I have to agree with you, so many interesting, informative and fun discussions, everyone has different opinions and for the most part we are from all over the world and get along great. Thank you for the input!

That is a big no no for me. Even if there is a lot of work here, I make sure I log in to mylot and have some posts. I guess what makes me keep coming back here is the opportunity to write, express yourself, having more friends aside from the earnings. And most especially, I am learning here to improve my English...

Yes, i can live without mylot for a day, it's not like i am loosing 1000$, but just a few cents that i can make the next day. I guess there is no harm in taking a break once in a while if you are bored of mylot, and yet again i must ask, how can you be bored of mylot, there are so many discussions that get few responses or not at all although they have great topics, i think it is really a matter o patience.

I think it's because of the great people here and the discussions. I couldn't go without visiting Mylot either if I was surfing the net. I could if I wasn't home or near a computer, but that would be it.

I could go without MyLot for a day if I had to, but I don't like to, because I like being able to talk to people from around the world, and make a few dollars, while I am at it.

Well I had joined mylot quite sometime back.I took alot of interest and I was doing it.I looked at my payments and I thought I would just give up.After a long interval I am back again. As you say there is something here which gets you hooked on to it.Though my earnings have not gone up now still I enjoy doing it.Its alot of fun.I enjoy reading some very interesting discussions. If there is power and the net is connecting I make sure i do mylotting. There are days I dont even check my mail I am only doing mylot.

I can. I went several days without it multiple times. The most recent was more of a combination of factors and not completely voluntary. I do miss several people on mylot whenever I take a break or get separated... they know who they are. They are also the primary reason I come back, and the reason I stay.

obviously it is impossible to go a day without mylot. unless there is such a pressing need that you are denied access to the internet for the whole day, there is no way to skip the classic mylot time. it simply keeps you so much engrossed that you feel like enjoying more and more of it.it has become a habit for me now. everyday about an hour or couple is a must.
