Well, is it true what they say? Can reading really cause a depravation of the vision? And what about computering, has it the same effect? Thanks

as with (almost) everything that we do...do something in moderation and it won't be bad for you. If you read for long spells without breaks then your eyes will definitely take strain, the same when using a computer

Your eyes are only affected if u focus on something for too long. People become short-sighted most of the time because they read or watch television from a short distance or use the computer for too long and their eyes get used to focusing on a short distance. If you don't want to become short-sighted, you only need to make sure that you close your eyes after 10 or 20 minutes or look out the window at something far away so that your eyes can refocus. ^_^

Yes, I believe so. Any matter you use your eyes for would have effect on the eyesight. I had to start with my reading spectacles since I was in my high school. The doctor told me that was because I have been straining my eyes reading my school work.

It depends on time you're reading. At school I read a lot and I could read all day long. Now I have to wear glasses while watching TV and my mum says it's because of reading.
