Why is the finals-format for this year scheduled to be 2-3-2?? Have the finals always been like that and I've just never noticed? Any-hoo, who's watching tonight? And, who wins tonight? DallasFAN99's prediction: Celtics BIG-3 too much for Kobe and the Lakers tonight, pull ahead 2-0! Just in time to take the series back to L.A. and try and defend their lead for 3 games straight.... Thoughts?

The longer this series goes, the more it favors the Boston Celtics. It just seems this team is just never tired. They just keep going and going and going. Tomorrow is the game and I'm expecting Boston to win. For some reason, I see this being a Home Court series where the Lakers win all the Home games and the Celtics win all of theirs. I know Pierce won't be 100% but he'll play and do what he can. As long as it's not a sweep, it might be interesting.

Yeah, I'm wondering about Pierce too. I know he'll play but will he be effective? That is an important question for the Celtics; Pierce was instrumental in their win!

Based on the highlights, I would agree. I couldn't believe there was talk of him faking it. Personally I think it was a case of the injury not being as bad as he thought it would be. He played a role and if he doesn't, then we shall see if any Celtic will step up. The one thing I got out of this would be is not to question the Celtic's stamina.

Exactly! I agree on all accounts. I didn't see a lot of Rondo; that was a bit surprising. Maybe Rondo will be the one to step up and carry the team - make things lighter on Pierce's shoulders.

i have no clue why they are doing that format, that is interesting, but tonight the Lakers will tie it back up 1-1. I haven't seen the Lakers play as ugly of a game as they did last night all season. So they will step it up and win tonight, Lamar Odom will come out big and they will win. Go Lakers!

Uh oh. That didn't really go according to plan, although the Lakers did make it interesting towards the end. Maybe they will make it really interesting, tonight, by winning one...

Hi there! I think you might want to recheck your schedule of Game 2. Game 2 will be tomorrow, Sunday at 9pm EST. With regards to the 2-3-2 format, I am not sure if this is new for this season or it has been like this for years and like you, I just didn't notice it also. This time though, I noticed the format all because the Celtics are in it. I think this format benefits the Celtics because there is a chance that if they win, they'll play it in Boston. If there is a split in the first 2 games, if LA wants to win this Finals at home, then they have to win straight. If Boston wants to win, they have to win at least one in LA and then come back to Boston and win it there. They really showed a good Game 1, so it's hard to tell who wins. I just hope that the rest of the games will be as exciting as the first one. Enjoy!
