"I have no idea..."

...when I actually do know! So you want to know what I am talking about? well this evening on television there was an hour long program about fertility and how foods affected fertility in men, can certain foods make PMS for women "less of a pain" or ease symptoms and last but not least... Can eating certain foods make your guys semen taste different?! Well I guess my dad didn't catch on at first to what the experiment was about cause he wasn't paying much attention. But they subjected the men to a certain diet for 3 days and then their spouse was given a "test tube" of their semen to taste and see if there is a difference. My dad asked me when they were showing the second lady tasting hers..."What are they drinking?" I immediately thought "Oh boy..." I said to him "I have no idea..." since I was on the computer but watching the documentary too. Now it's not like my dad and I can't talk about that sorta stuff, it's just uncomfortable for me, even if it were my mum it would be...yet to talk to friends would be just fine! So if it were your dad asking you such a question and you knew they were drinking semen to determine if it tasted different...what would your answer be? By the way, 2 of the three women guessed the correct diet their men were put on after tasting the semen. Apparently the "regular" taste changed and they did describe the before and after taste too.

I've also heard that what a man eats can determine the taste of his semen. And it is a fact actually, No roxanne I'm not going to tell you how i know that. And no i haven't seen the program. I am very out spoken so i would have told my dad exactly what they were talking about. i would not have really had a problem i like difficult situations. and i think it would have been fun to see the expression on his

Hehe, I won't ask how you know, don't worry. But I personally feel that it is true. I do agree it would have been funny to see the expression on his face just couldn't bring myself to tell him still!

I would have just told my dad what it was. I mean we don't talk about that sort of thing, but I have no problem with answering the question. I have heard that if a guy eats a lot of sweet tasting foods that it will make it taste sweeter, but I don't know if that is true or not as I find that gross.

Hey angel, Hmm, well it has been a while since he had "the talk" with me. I know it sounds weird for a guy to have the talk with his daughter but well the duty fell on his shoulders. Anyway, I still couldn't bring myself to answer it. I just figure I may not be as mature as I like to think I am if I couldn't answer such a question for my dad... And actually, the guy who they put on a fruit a vegetable diet for 3 days, his semen did taste sweeter (so his partner said anyway)...personally I find it a bit ewww too.

I would have been as "clueless" as you! I would have been fine if it was my s/o asking or even his almost 18 year old son...but those are the only two people I see that I could possibly answer honestly. I can think of other things like that too though...like if a race is on and s/o misses something, if he asks me who or what I'll just say I wasn't paying attention. Usually I do basically know but it is just way too girly to say "the blue car swerved into the red car". He wants to know the actual details and I don't usually pay enough attention the first time to tell him that "Driver A got loose and moved up on the track, Driver B was coming in hard behind him and didn't let off, they got together and spun out...other cars collected...blah, blah, blah.

Yeah I kinda do "know my stuff" LOL...I just don't pay attention half the time, and he knows I can do better than the girly answer. I can totally understand about that exact topic though...normal adult conversations aren't so bad, it's when it's an odd topic that things get weird!

I would make him know what was happening exactly on the television. The other day my dad and me was talking and I told him that men goes through menopause as women but it has another name that I don't remember and he laughs me to scorn. But I know that I am telling the truth so I don't pay him any mind. There are alot of experiments that are being done and it is best to let the elder know what is happening in this world.

Hi kerriannc, Thanks for the response. Actually it made me think a bit...maybe I am not mature enough mentally to feel I can talk about such things openly with my dad...or mum or relatives really! My dad isn't too old not to follow what is going on but I think since the program kept switching in between "ideas" he might have got lost. But generally I am open with him as he is me, so I don't know why i choked... Thank you
