Would you marry someone if they were already married?

Say you meet a great guy/girl, he/she is everything you ever hoped for. Smart, funny, sensitive, great with kids, everything you could want in a guy/girl. You grow to love him/her so much just being apart in unbearable in your mind. Then you figure out that he/she is a part of a polygamist ring or just is allowed by custom and religion to have more than one. Would you overlook this and marry him/her? I personally would not. I have acutally had a friend that did that though and I just wondered how many others out there might do such a thing. What is your take on this?

Well, there are times I wish there were more of me...haha. Seriously, though, I find the whole thing interesting. As in "what a curiosity" not an "oh, I would like to try that". The idea of your friend choosing to marry into it intrigues me. Would I do it? No. If they were married already and he didn't tell me, I would feel betrayed and the relationship would be over. If he did tell me, I wouldn't continue the relationship long enough to fall in love with them because it would be over right then. And if he wasn't married and wanted me to be the first wife? Aside from the fact that I am a Christian and the Bible says a man and wife are to only have one spouse....I don't think I could share my husband with someone else. Even if she does do dishes and laundry.

I am to jealous of a person to marry a polygamist. I want my man to want me and no one else.
