Do you trust spam emails?

United States

I'm a hopeful person and sometimes I click on the spam I get in my inbox, but most of the time I delete it without a second thought. I think most spam is from people who just want to swindle you out of your money. Do you trust spam or are you a skeptic like me?

No, don't trust spams. There are mainly two kinds of spam. One give you virus, one cheat you money. There isn't valuable spam in the world. When you see a spam, just delete it immediately, don't waste any time on reading it.

I'm just hoping that people aren't as cruel and twisted as they seem to be and that someone might send me something out of the kindness of their heart. I guess I'm just fooling myself.

I always delete spam straight away without opening it. I don't want to run the risk of getting a virus from opening a spam mail, and the contents are useless anyway.

You should never trust spam mails (only if you know that it is from someone you really know you should open it). There's a lot of viruses that travels via spam.

There are cases that legitimate mail are accidentally moved to spam folder, sometimes it is cause by filters and sometimes from sites we joined in. It is imperative that you have a sufficient malware protection on guard and you know how to handle this things if you would ever open this spam folder. I have to admit there are times too that I check my spam folder to ensure that they are really all just spam.

Sometimes they just want you to do them a favor. For example: do a survey. Or even join mylot and become their referral. Some of them are useful. Because some of them spammer know who you are. They know what you want and like, then they send such messages to you. I believe that there are opportunities in the spam box of my gmail. So I read them occasionally.
