Do you check on your kids before you go to sleep?

I can't even stop myself - I could never sleep without checking on my kids. When my first was little I would totally check to see she was breathing and warm enough/not too hot but now it's more of a calm peek in and watch them and maybe re-tuck the blanket on if the room is chilly. What about you, do you check on your kids before going to bed for the night

i do check on my kids as well. i just make sure that they're not too hot or cold like you. sometimes, i give them each a kiss just because i have the urge to. hehe they look too cute or rather i can't help it. i guess i will keep doing it too till they're older or who knows, i might keep doing it while i'm still with me. hehe

I kiss them too, sometimes! I totally understand that urge. My babies are so cute when they're sleeping! So peaceful. Sometimes I wanna scoop my little one out of her crib and snuggle with her all night. But then my husband would probably roll on top of her in the middle of the night, and that wouldn't be any fun.

That's so sweet. And you know, when they're asleep, they look so peaceful...it's almost contageous. It's so easy to see that even if you had a bad day together, the person deep down in your child is your little angel. And you know that they'll always be your baby, in some small way, in your heart - even when they're all grown up.

Absolutely i do :) When my first was a baby i used to check on her quite a lot, the breathing thing was the same for me, just to be sure everything was ok! She's now 2 & every night before i go to bed, i do check in on her, i make sure that she's got her blankets on - we're in winter here now & she wriggles a lot initially before she's in her deep sleep & i make sure the mosquito net is shut just so she doesn't get covered in bites! I think most parents do it, when their kids are still young :) I will probably keep doing it until she's old enough to put herself to bed & make sure she's comfortable & warm. We're expecting baby #2 in about 4 weeks & i'm sure i'll do the same with him when he's at home, as i did with my daughter. I think it's a natural reaction, especially while they're very young!

Yeah, sometimes I wonder when I will stop! I'm not really looking forward to stopping, though. Maybe I'll just keep checkin on them until they move out, lol!

Yes, I have a 7 year old, a 2 year old and a almost 3 month old and i check on all of them before i go to sleep. My 7 year old will stay up as late as he can watching tv if i dont go in there and turn it off before i go to bed. Sometimes if he is watching a movie and its almost over ill let him watch it but i can normally hear when the movie it finished because i dont fall right to sleep. my 2 year old he climbs in the bed with me in the middle of the so its hard to not check on him if he is right beside me lol The baby(the almost 3 month old) sleeps in my room in her bassinet so i can hear her cause she snores already lol. but living in a single wide mobile home its not hard to hear if anything happens with the kids in the middle of the night and being a mom your naturally a light sleeper. :)
