Edible Oil which is used for the purpose of cooking contains lot of fatty acids and contains fats. Highly recommended by dieticians that they are harmful to health in long term.Causes many ailments in long run so how much oil do you consume everyday? I suggest the less you use the better. Take care.

The best oil to use is the vegetable oil. It is well known that the digestive system obsolve it better. A small amount of oil is also better to use. Remember that some meats tends to have their own source of oil.

I don't use oil too often when I cook, I usually use non-stick cooking sprays instead of it when I cook in pans and stuff. When I do use oil I choose canola or vegetable oil because they're some of the more healthy types of oil. xD

Well i think even you have become a half Doctor with the influence of your husband. Not all fatty acids are bad for health. Essential fatty acids are good and required for the body. Deficiency of essential fatty acids causes lot of diseases.

I get plenty of fats from things like avocado, nuts and seeds. With that in mind, I've decided not to add extra with oils and very rarely use them when cooking. Most things that call for oil are just fine without, or with using water instead if some type of liquid is needed. When a recipe calls for sauteeing something in oil, I water-sautee it instead.
