In light of recent wrongdoings by our nation's (US) police departments, I posed this question. Have you ever felt discriminated against by the law? Have you been assaulted by a policeman? Shot? Has anyone you've known been unfairly abused by the police? Please share your experience with us..... I have had a family member who was killed by a police officer. I myself have been UNFAIRLY harassed by the police. I wonder if this is really going on in the world.

I was on my way to the hospital to visit someone some time ago, long story, & I was pulled over by a cop... He walks over & started to knocked on my window... Right off the bat, he was giving me an attitude... He finally asked me for a proof of insurance & license... I told him I was on my way to the hospital to see someone & I had to be there soon... As I was reaching over to the glove compartment to get the insurance paper work out he goes, "Slowly, you don't wanna get shot for something stupid..." He was just saying anything he can think of... He goes back to his patrol car & he was taking his time... I finally got out of my car & walked up to his patrol car, knocked on his window & said, "Ummm... Obviously, I was in a hurry..?!?!?! Can we move this along?" Well... End result of that wasn't really pretty...

Always messing with us. I have some pretty brutal stories. With the recent killing of Shawn Bell being investigated in NYC, this felt like a good topic to bring up, though I don't believe anyone else has any really harsh stories to share, which I am not upset about. My little cousin was murdered by the police in New Jersey and back in the Bronx, police harassment was everyday routine. I really don't like the abuse of power and the police are not what they used to be. They are here to "serve and protect" us not murder us.
