The Dentist

I thought I should put this under life as it's something everybody goes through. I had my first filling today and it was in my wisdom tooth, i'm 26 so it's not bad going. Right now half my face is numb and my mouth is starting to throb. I made a bit of a fuss out of it but really it wasn't too bad at all. I think i'm lucky though as i've not had much work done at the dentist. The dentist did say she found me funny so at least i'm a funy worrier. It reminded me of when I was younger about 8 my mum took me to the dentist for what I was told was just a check up. When I arrived I found out that I was having my front 2 teeth pulled. I kicked up such a fuss, I was in tears. In the end they couldn't go through with it that day as I was in such a state. Still this isn't that bad i've had great dentists but what I want to hear from you guys are your dentist horror stories. to balance it out if you have had a great experience with your dentist I'd like to hear that too.

Have you never had any fillings? I'm a bit dissapointed that I had a cavity in my wisdom tooth, I was hoping to never have a filling. The dentist did say it was only because it's in an awkward spot, not because I have bad teeth!

I've always hate going to the dentist.. Whenever i was there sine young, the dental doctor will always commend on this and that about my teeth, saying if i dun take good care of it, i will definitely be seeing her alot more times every year.. LOL ^_^ BUt i only let her extract my tooth once and i din ever see a dentist anymore.. haha.. JUst the sound of the machines really scares me, and so i prefer to pluck out the tooth myself whenever i have a toothache.. LOL

I think the sound of the machines are the worst part. It makes it all sound terrifying, that's what got to me today. Nothing hurt though, not even the injection. I'm sitll numb though, it must be slowly coming back as my mouth is starting to hurt!

yeah.. After the anesthetic wears off, u will really feel the pain and there's nothing much u can do about it.. BUt after 2 days or so, the numbness cause by the pain will be gone and u'll be well aagin.. hehe
