I am thinking about and playing around with the idea of taking my kids (and husband of course) on a weekend vacation. We live at the very Northwest corner of Ohio and I don't want to have to travel too far...maybe no more than 3 or 4 hours, but am looking for ideas for a fun filled family weekend. I was thinking of us going to see Tecumseh, the ultimate outdoor drama experience. Here is the link to the website explaining it. http://www.tecumsehdrama.com/ Have any of you fellow mylotters ever been to this show or one like it? If you have, what did you think of it?? I have three children who are 13, 12 and 9 years old, I do believe they would all find it very interesting and entertaining. If you have any other ideas other than the one I mentioned, please do share with me. Oh and I forgot to mention, that because of where we live, we are close to Indiana and Michigan, therefore we could take a trip to one of three states, Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.

You can come here on vacation....LOL We have the room. You would get to see St. Louis and the surrounding area. Or you could just come and get away! I would love it! Anyway, I know my kids and I got a hotel room for a weekend and just utilized the pool and hot tub, we ordered pizza and just relaxed. It was inexpensive, and a get break from the everyday routine.

I may end up taking you up on that get away to Jens place..lol But when I do that, it will be just me. Maybe I will take the family on a weekend vacation first and then come out to see you by myself. I have never been to see the arch, and the city, that would be great. I will talk to you on the phone about this. Thanks for the offer, I may use that offer. Love ya, Nelly

I do not know what kind of budget or interests your family had but Cedar Point in Sandusky is pretty cool. Another option would be the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Both are great but it depends on how much you want to spend and what your family enjoys.

Well I was thinking of Cedar point because we are only a couple of hours from there and then I was thinking that we could stop at Port Clinton also and take the kids to the beach on Lake Erie and then to Perry's cave. But I was also thinking about the Tecumsah drama because it is something different, and everyone around here goes to Cedar Point. I wanted to think of something that everyone else doesn't do and something that I know my kids most likely will not have a chance to do with the school. Thanks for the response, have a great day!
