What Have You Got Hanging?

No No No….not there ya goofs!….. But what is hanging from your rear view mirror? Is it something special that someone special gave to you? What does this thing or things say about your personality?
My best friend has so much hanging from hers that every time I ride with her I have to untangle and sort through the mass or it bothers me the whole trip out with her. She has pretty Australian crystals that catch the light, Dora (from Finding Nemo) key chain, a bracelet she won out of one of those arm machines one night when we had gone to dinner, and a pearl necklace that one of her children bought her.
All very pretty things, and what it tells me about her is that she has a great sense of humor (Dora) that she loves beautiful things, that my friendship with her is very important (the bracelet), that she loves her children, but that clutter and chaos does not bother her.
So what have you got hanging and what message does it send about you?

Nothing at the moment as I just recently got my car back. However in the not too distant future I hope to have my soon to be ex's balls bronzed and hanging from my mirror.
So what does that say about me? ROFL

I don't have anything at all...I used to have my HS graduation tassel, but I've outgrown that (heck, I only graduated 19 years ago!); various power bead bracelets (my daughter used to pick them for me); but now that I've got a GPS on the windshield, it would be too much distraction (that's bad enough!). What I hate are those crystals--they can blind you (the other driver)!

I have an airfreshener that is a soft toy farm animal. It looks more like a sheep but I think of it as a goat because I love my goats. So it says I'm a farm girl and I love being a farm girl....I'm not really, I live in a little village in the bush. It also says I have a quirky sense of humour because it's ahumorous little toy and it says I like things to smell fresh and nice.

Only thing hanging from my rearview mirror is a 2-tone purple rabbit's foot that I bought at the county fair 20yrs. ago when I started driving. Still like new to this day.

I have my little Winnie the Pooh Bear hanging on my Rear view Mirror he has been with me for many years, my job as a Manager entailed a lot of Driving every Day, I bought Winnie when I spotted while I had stopped of for a Coffee before going to the next Contract, on Impulse I bought him I rarely treated myself but I just had to have him I don't know why as I am not an impulsive buyer, from that Day he travelled every Day with me and I still have him now he has been with me 12 years now lol

You know what Gabs, I use to have, (well I still do but he does not hang from the window anymore), a little pooh that stuck to the window with a tiny suction cup. He hung for years and years on my window... He has retired now to my jewel chest as I just can not part with him. He kept me company on mnay trips south :)))

I have a red, white and blue ribbon, with a necklace my daughter gave and red, white and blue beads. It's not the cluttered, I also had a red, white and blue bandana, but know it's behing the steering wheel.

I've seen all sorts of things hanging there before. In my country, the most common thing would be amulet. People put it for superstitious reasons. It's supposed to bless them with a safe journey.
I've seen many people hanging cute little chains too. It's usually their favorite anime or cartoon characters.

I have some Mardi Gras beads hanging from mine. I guess that says- I flashed someone and/or I'm a party girl. They are lieing too. I got them from a friend who went to Mardi Gras and she did all that. LOL Yeah that's it!

i only have one item hanging from my rear view mirror. it's my id. there is no special reason why but i hang it there so i don't forget it when going to work. sometimes, i also buy "sampaguitas" (it's a native garland here in my country) from street children. i hang it there until they fade. ;)

I don't have anything hanging from my mirror, but I do have a few things in my car that symbolize things.
I have 6 plastic lizards on the dashboard. I used to go to this restaraunt and order a leaping lizard drink and they'd give me the lizard stuck to the glass sometimes. By my gearshift, I have a little Pokey figurine from Gumby and Pokey that reminds me of my kids because they loved that show. I also have a red m&m hanging in the back because I love m&m's and a friend thought I liked the red ones the best - I like the green ones the best, but I still like this hanging in my car. I used to keep a big green m&m pillow on my back dash but that was in my old car and there's no place to put it in my new one.

I won't hang anything on my rearview mirror. I don't feel that it is necessary to "clutter" my car up like that and have stuff hanging around it. Also, I have always heard that it is hard on the mirror glue to have that extra weight on there.
I don't mind if others do it but I sure don't want too.

I had some bright colored beads I got at my one and only trip to the casino hanging on there. I really loved having them om the mirror, but they were swinging around when I was driving and that really got to me. I tried winding them around the mirror and they kept falling off. I gave up on them. I also had a little dream catcher hanging there and I took it off - same thing - I felt it obscured my vision a little bit and it was doing that swing thing.
So what does this say about me? I like the idea of clutter, but can't handle it?

We don't have anything hanging from ours. It is obstructive to the view of the person driving. And it can be a major distraction. Decorations should be in the home. It is safer.

Well let me see, what do I have hanging on my mirror? I have a feather with beads on it, because I'm Native American, I have a necklace that my nephew gave me for Christmas, it has a guitar pick hanging on it, because I play the guitar, I thought that was neat when he gave it to me. I have a turquoise necklace with a cross hanging on it, because of my faith. I think all of these represent who I am, my culture, my musical talent, and my faith in God. I never thought of it that way...hmm

Yeah Cj it does me too. I have one small blue glass seahorse that my son Jake gave me hanging from mine. It is small enough not to cause distracting and its swaying is not a big deal.... My girlfriends mass really bothers me though!
