When was the last time that you visited the dentist? Some people put it off for as long as possible while other never miss a cleaning. Which one are you?

I was at the dentist last week. They had an event going on where they were giving free treatment for one day. I needed a tooth filled and got it done for free. I try to go when i can. it is expensive even with insurance. As for my kids, they never miss an appointment. I want them to have good teeth when they get older and not have to worry about the dentist all the time.

I've had to visit the dentist quite a bit. When I was in 5th grade I fell and broke my front tooth and it's been nothing but trouble ever since. They did a quick little fix by filling the tooth up with that filling cement type stuff and then said we'll figure out what to do when you turn 18. I'm 20 now and FINALLY they've taken it out and I'm getting an implant. Oh, I also had braces when I was younger. I hate the dentist because it's SO ridiculously expensive...it costs my first born child to just sit down in the damn chair.

I go on a regular basis. Trying to set a good example for my daughter. We are supposed to go every six month. We make it every year. Not really putting it off. Just hard to find time.

I have not been to the dentist in about 5 years and that was when I had a bad tooth and had to have it pulled. My kids go to the dentit every 6 months. I have dental insurance on them so I want to keep there teeth nice.

The last time I went would be in March 2008 to get a deep cleaning.. I go back four months from now, which would be July. I usually get my teeth cleaned every six months. One time I would not get my teeth cleaned like this. But having some Peridontal Issues, I go from now on..

My last dentist visit was in March 2008 and it was for a cleaning. I have had alot of dental work done so I do not have any anxiety associated with dental visits. Growing up in a large family my parents could not afford alot of dental work for us kids so when I was 18 and had a job I went to the dentist once a week for 3 months straight to fix my teeth. I have had fillings, extractions, crowns, root canals, bridges. Now I need veneers on my front teeth because they are so worn down but my insurance won't pay for it so I am putting it off for a while.

last summer some time. I had to get a tooth pulled. I hate the dentist and plus i don't have insurance and it's REALLY expensive to get teeth pulled. I haven't had a cleaning for a good 4-5 years now. I know I should get it done but then they will just tell me all the work I need done and they'll do x-rays. It's just too expensive.

I actually went to the dentist less than a week ago. Since I got insurance, I make sure I go every six months. It saves me a lot of money in the long run because since I've been going regularly, I haven't needed any extra work. But, one time I had to wait about 7 years before I could afford to go to the dentist. Then, when I finally got to go, I needed at least 7 fillings, two of them are very large and may need crowns in the future. Also, one cavity was so deep that I might need a root canal in a few years. So, if anyone hasn't gone for a long time, I would suggest they go.

I put it off as long as possible. I have TMJ and a simple cleaning leaves me unable to open my mouth for days after and unable to actually chew for weeks after.

Last week! About oral prophylaxis or dental cleaning, you should be doing that at least twice a year or every 6 mos.
