Why doesnt harry potter move in with serious black

i know this question sounds lame but i only sped read the books and i havent yer seen any movies past the second. I dont understand why harry potter doesnt live with his god father serious. from what i recall harry likes serious and wants to live with him. and didnt he break out of Azcanban?? thats what i remember but i just didnt get why harry didnt go live with him? :S
