He could get a ride and could not drive since he was without his license. Therefore, he had to walk... Stephen Shoemaker was scheduled to appear at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday for sentencing. Shoemaker, 33, of Shippensburg, doesn't have a car or driver's license. So he started hoofing it to the courthouse at dawn. He kept walking for about 25 miles in 90-plus-degree heat. Shoemaker arrived about 3:30 p.m. — after a detour to a hospital, where he was treated for dehydration. The court should at least recognize his effort for that. They should give the guy a break; at least he was not driving. He walked and the hospital can vouch for him of his where about. I think the judge won't be to hard on him about it though. I would have to commend him for walking. Most would have just stayed home cause it was to hot. Have a nice one.

I believe so too but some judges are known to be mean and do things strictly by the book...
