Do you think violence in the media contributes to violent acts amongst young people? Why or why not?

People emulate what they see and hear - whether on tv or in the home. Yes, it contributes. All one need to is watch a child repeat what he has seen on tv, with his play action figures.

ooo I never thought about that! It is really interesting to watch a group of children play together because they are all so different and have different attitudes. They will never eliminate violence from the media, but it is a parent's job to limit the television watching if they have any concerns.
