i saw the funniest and cutest thing yesterday... at a pet store, a kitten was standing upright and sleeping. he started nodding off just like humans do. i'd never seen a cat do this until now. it was quite funny...as soon as his head would drop too far, he'd shake himself awake like he was wet or something. too cute. he finally gave up and layed down on his brother :) has anyone ever seen animals do this? specifically kittens?

Sleepy Kitty - Tiki couldn't even make it through her bath! She was just too tired.
Hi Shmeedia. Check out this picture - it's a picture of my "grandkitty" - my daughter's new kitty - who fell asleep mid-bathing! She couldn't believe it, so she took a pic and sent it to me. Just like human babies, they drop where they are! My son fell asleep in his spaghetti and in his toy box. It's so cute - I almost wish we could sleep as easily, except by the time we're adults, they'd probably call it narcolepsy! LOL

Yes - he had eaten quite a bit before he started to fall asleep - he was already wearing much of it! LOL But, he wasn't happy when I picked up his head from his dish (didn't want him to suffocate in sauce, you know) and then washed him off so I could pick him up and put him to bed. But, he was so tired, he dropped right off again afterwards! It was fun to remember those days. He's 27 now.

Yea, my Chocolate lab does this. I am not sure why she tries to keep herself awake, it just seems like it would be so much easier to lay down! But you are right, it looks funny!

thanx for sharing! i guess when they are puppies or kittens they haven't figured out yet that they can just lie down :) but the cutie i saw yesterday eventually DID decide it was easier than continuing to stand up and shake his head every few moments ;)

Dollie is 7 yrs old now! She sits on her couch and her head will just droop! She finally will lay down and then she will start snoring...very loudly! LOL!
