There is something which I will never forget. When I was 7 years old, I was playing with my younger brother (5 years old) in my parents' room. We were all over the place, jumping up and down. We climbed up the bed and tried to retrieve something from the wardrobe. I opened the door of the wardrobe and to my horror, the corner of the door hit my brother's forehead and he started bleeding. I was in a panic and I immediately shouted for my mother. I was scolded by my mother. Both my brother and I were crying. I cried not because I was scolded but because I felt so bad and guilty injuring my brother. I tried to make up for it by giving him all my sweets. Till today, I still feel bad about it. He is the only person I have injured before. The injury left a tiny scar on the right hand side of his forehead. Have you Accidentally or Deliberately injured others before? How did it happen?

I am glad that you took such responsibility for it. Most kids would claim that it wasn't their fault. It was nice of you to give him all of your sweets. I was imitating my grandmother one day and I accidentally punched two people right in their face at the same time. Grandma, my mother, my uncle, and I had all went to the theater to watch a horror film together. Grandma got scared at some scene, and ended up screaming and punching my mother and uncle. So, I was explaining this to my lunch table when I went to school, and apparently two people had gathered around behind me. I am an active talker and I use my hands, so as I explained that she punched them, I did the motion and hit the two that were behind me! I feel bad about it, but now that I look back on it, it also is somewhat funny..

Hie Valena, congratulations! You made it to your 200th. LOL...when you tell it now , it does sound funny and cute. Children at that age is most certainly adorable and I pity your friends then did not get to have a chance to join your story but instead became the victims...hehehe Cheers and happy posting!

I am like you. When I talk, I like to gesture a lot. Your grandma's reaction was so cute and yours was cuter.

Hie Poohgal, I was around 13 to 14 years old that time, as far as I could remember it happened in the school compound. I was in the afternoon session and as usual my friends and I would play basketball before the classes start. One day I really don't know what happened, was playing as usual then I accidentally thrown the ball too high and it hit my friend's face directly on her nose. And she did screamed out loud and I got panicked as she was holding her nose and bleeding. So a few teachers came by and gave the first aid. I was so afraid and couldn't concentrate in class the whole afternoon. And it went on the whole week or so, I felt so bad for her and apologetic whenever I see her. Luckily the nose was not broken or flattened in a way :) Guessed I played too rough that day. Cheers,

Yea. Thank God her nose is still intact. When it comes to sports, I guess accidents and injuries are inevitable. I just finish watching the match between Italy and Romania. They drew level at 1-1. Romania had a player injured. He injured his head.. Ouch..

When my brother was very small, about 2, and I was about 6, I kicked him in the privates. I don't remember doing it, so I don't know if it was accidental or on purpose. He had to have hernia surgery. I never remembered being the cause of his stay in the hospital until he told me so a few years ago (we're both in our 40's now) and I guess he knows what he's talking about. But he's got two daughters, so I guess I didn't do any lasting damage to his equipment.

Haha.. How come he still remember? He was so young then. It must have been traumatic for him. Thank God it didn't affect the functionality of his equipment.

I really enjoyed reading this post of yours... i was so indulged in reading this that i started visualizing it as a movie, scene by scene ... i can prepare a story board for that. i dont have bros or sis so there is no question of injuring them .. i dont remember any one ever got injured by me, but once i got injured by my frined while playing football,i was 13 then, he fell over me and my arms (near wrist) got fractured. i was really scared and my left hand looked like the english alphabet "s". i didnt feel any pain initially (what a great body mechanism) but gradually it started to get worse. I was crying all the time while my friends took me to my home in a procession with me holding my fractured hand and walking infront.

I've accidentally hurt my borther before when we were kids.. We were playing a game at home whereby we are supposed to walk round our hall, but not walk on the floor, instead, we have to climb on furnitures and sofas or whatever we can find, to make a bridge for ourselves.. Everyhting was going smoothly till the last part when i stepped on a small table and my bro was just behind me, suddenly i lose balance and both me and my brother fell down but the landed on my brother's big toe instead!! It was so painful that i can even feel the pain from him.. But luckily, it's nothing serious, except that the big toe gets even bigger from the swelling.. hehe ^_^

That's a very traumatic event for you, I'm sorry. One time my family's van was parked on an incline, and the sliding door barely needed momentum to shut. Only after I began giving the door an extra shove downward did I see my sister's arm was in the way, and her scream was awful. Luckily it didn't get broken, but her bruise was terrible. I still feel bad about it.

We have both hurt our siblings before. Thank God your sister's arm was not broken. I thank God I didn't blind my brother too. The cut was quite near the eyes.

Well, I don't remember a time when I injured someone, but I do remember lots of times of where people have accidently injured me! One time, at around the age of 11, my 10 year old sister was cutting cards for a project. She asked me if I could help her and I said ok. I was holding the cards while my sister was using the scissors. Then after she made a big stack of cards she cut the cards but she also a tiny fraction of the side of my index finger. I howled in pain when I let go of cards and I saw a gaping hole with blood oozing out. The cut was 4/5 of an inch wide and .2 of an inch long (maybe .1 inch deep). It took around 2 weeks to heal and new tissue was formed making the scar look white.

I haven't done anything like this before. But, instead my little sister was the one who actually injured me accidentally. We were running around the center table when we were young. She pushed me and I accidentally tripped over a pillow lying around. I fell and had my hands over the center table and the glass broke off. We were both in shock. I quickly checked my sister if she sustained any wounds from the broken glass, and quickly checked myself after. To my surprise, I saw my left knee cut open. I immediately called for help. The cut was so deep that I even saw my bone. Scary hehe. I was rushed to the hospital and had my knee stitched layer by layer. We were young back then and it was an accident. It left a huge scar. From then on, I was careful enough not to be a cause of injury for others.

Ouch ouch ouch!! What a deep cut. I can understand how you feel. I fell into the drain before and it left me with a scar which is still on my leg. Ever since the accident, I am also more careful.
