Do you like listening to the sound of rain hitting your window?

Just now, I realized that it was raining.
It's been really dark today, and cloudy.
And, I just figured we were going to have a gloomy day.
But, now it's raining. And, everything feels so much better.
Listening to the rain tapping on my window pane
is so soothing.
I'll have to get off the computer in a minute,
and unplug everything, just in case it starts lightening.
But, for a few minutes, I wanted to share this
amazing experience with you.
Do you feel comforted when it rains?
Do you like listening to the sound of rain on the window pane?
Does it bring back good memories?

I would not say that it brought back good memories but there is certainly something soothing about it. Especially on a day that I do not have to step foot out of the door!
I prefer to hear it raining at night, it somehow makes everything seem more cosy and nice. Probably because I know that I am not going out and I go to bed and snuggle down to the sound of the rain.

I woke up this morning and it was storming again.
It made me so sleepy that I rolled over and went back to sleep!

I do love the sound of rain on the windows or roof. We went camping last year and it rained and I slept like a baby that night. The day sucked cause it was all wet and not alot of fun but at night it just put me right to sleep.

I like listening to the rain when it is just a soft pitter patter, much like last night. However when it thunders and comes down in sheets, I don't like that. Inevitably the power goes off, and if it is at night I have a heck of a time seeing anything. So when the rain starts now I automatically go light a candle just in case.

Rain rain GO away!!
We have had so much rain and stormy weather in the past 6 weeks or so....
I suppose its better than a drought then they put the fire bans out.
Cloudy weather is gloomy and makes me even more tired than usual.

Yes i like the sound of rain dropping. But not that big drops. In fact i have this rain maker thing, bamboo thing with holes around and I was informed with small shells inside. If feeling lonely just shake it lightly and you can hear the rain sound. It is stress remedy.

Isn't it! Nature's music is so lovely. I'm listening to thunder right now. It's not raining so heavy now. But, I can still hear the roll of thunder in the distance.

Normally, I like to hear the rain on the windows. But since we have had nothing but rain for the last month, I am so tired of it and I hate hearing it. I wish the rain would stop and summer would come. It is so bad this year. We don't usually get this much rain, not even close. I don't know what i happening with the weather everywhere. It isn't the usual for anybody, by the sounds of it.

Yes I do like the sound of the rain hitting my window and I like to look out at it. The heavier the rain the more I like it, if I am inside and I don't have to go out.
I don't mind the sound of thunder. I will switch off my computer and electrical equipment and enjoy the sound and sight of a thunderstorm.
I can see the sky from where I am sitting and the window is open and I am always watching the weather when I am indoors.

I love all sounds of nature. I find it very peaceful and lovely to watch fall down the window pane.If a storm isn't bad enough I will sit outside on my porch. I usually don't like to have anything on as well . Just sit back and relax.

Hi There,
There is almost nothing better than the sound of a good storm. The rain hitting the window is part of that storm and is a very comforting sound. I can say the thunder is always so comforting but I guess it depends on the mood or how loud and close it actually is. There is something about the sound of raindrops however which is nice and peaceful.

You got me. I do enjoy listening to the sound of rain. I quite like the rain at night when I don't need to go out. While it's raining, I find it much more comfortable to sleep. And just as what you said, the sound is soothing. It's really great. However I don't like the rain at the day time. Because then I have to go out to the teaching building or the library and they always make me all wet through.

Yes I like the sound of the rain hitting the window. Also I love the sound of it on metal sheets, especially cars and canopies. Its just a sweet sound and very good.

There's no better sound or more comforting atmosphere for me than that, really. I love the sound of the raindrops on my window pane because it just automatically loosens up my senses and makes me relax. Or when I'm stuck in traffic and it starts raining gently, I actually find it comforting to be driving in the rain (of course, a thunderstorm would be a whole different story).
I think it's also because our body composition is mainly water, and there's this connection it makes with nature when it rains that soothes the senses, making them feel that they're home. :)
