My Experiences as a Student Assistant

Working in the school is the life of a student assistant. He/she is an undergraduate who volunteers to help teachers, office staff and other employees in exchange for a minimal salary, a scholarship or at no extra cost. Being an student assistant gives the person a chance to learn doing things in the real world. Thus, it is expected that he/she will have a lot of experiences to cherish and to learn from.

Hi! Well congratulations in being a student assistant. I am not a student assistant myself. I would have applied but I really love to have my freedom. The student assistants in my school only get a scholarship of 50% discount on their tuition fees. Hey 50% is still 50% and that 50% can be an investment for the next term right? But like I said I didnt go through with it. I would have liked to be an SA in the library or at the Reading class. I love to read and I love books so go figure. There are some student assistants in offices who are asked to wash dishes and things and that doesnt sit well with me. Washing dishes is not a part of my household chores and so I dont want to do it for anybody else if Im not doing it at home. If they ask me to sweep the floors and fix the shelves or something I would gladly do it. Our SA's are better off than SA's in the other schools because in other schools here they are treated more than assistants. They are sometimes treated as maids. I hope you enjoy your SA life and dont forget to have fun.^_^
