It has happened too many times to me before. I was asked by strangers i ride with, even those who just pass me by and thos wehom i've never met in school. And i always tell them, "no thank you." Am i being rude?? Does this ever happened to you? What did you do? --Tell me about it--(^^,)

You mean it's a guy who is asking? Like he wants a date or something? I wouldn't give out my number, personally. Of course, I'm not single. Sometimes guys are just fishing for a date or romance connection and will ask any woman anywhere. I'm sure it's not meant to offend. But if you prefer to give something out, you could just give them an email address. That's safer and they can't track you down. If you like the person, you might try that.

yeah i guess so. Do you know any woman doing this? LOL They shouldn't be entertained, and their intentions should be clear. Thanks for the response(^^,)

I don't like to give out my number to someone I don't know well enough. I was thinking if we were out and he joined me for coffee and we had a good convo then maybe i would or give an email address.

Yes that can be a better scenario than a complete stranger. Thanks for the response(^^,)

i dont talk to these people asking for my numbers. i don't think i will ever give my number to a stranger. when you decline that is not being rude, why in the world would they even think someone will just give them their numbers.

It' not rude to say no.If it is someone that I don't know and they belong to the same group,in my class or co worker,I usually follow up with a small explanation.I add I don't give my number to someone that I don't know.

Then let's add: "prove to me that you're worthy of my number!" LOL. But anyways, they should know that anyone should very well know who they're giving their personal number to. Thanks for the response(^^,)

Yes, I too get asked for my phone number a lot, I do not like giving my number out to just anyone either, just like you. I really hate being rude too. Sometimes I will just give them a phone number that is not mine, I will change one ore two numbers from my own, I know I will never see most of these people again, and if I do, I just wrote it down wrong.
