I am so mad! I started a discussion about finally finding my dog. I was trilled. The lady at the animal shelter was so nice. She said that our dog could stay there for as long as we needed till we could get her. I have tried everything called every place i could think of. No one will help! The humane society would get her up here if she wasn't my dog. If i was just a person looking for a siberian husky they would get her up here but because i own her they won't help. We are getting tha tax rebate here around the 20th so we where going to use that to get her here. Theres no way we can come up with $500 right now. I thought all was good cuz they lady said she could keep her until then but she called me yesterday and said that another family came in and wants her. So now if i don't get her out right now she is giving her to them. She said that they had been in before looking and couldn't find what they wanted for their family. After they seen Alliya(my dog) they feel in love with her. She said that they said she was just what they wanted house trained, good with kids, don't bark alot, well behaved. DUH i know i'm the one that trained her so tell me something i don't know. i have 3 kids i know shes great with kids. I don't know what to do now. MY kids tought she was going to be home soon and so did i. So now what do i do? Now after trying to find her for 6 months and finally finding her i am supposed to just give her up! I just can't beleive this lady did this to us. Does anyone have any ideas to how i can get that money FAST or what i could do? PLEASE HELP!

I am so sorry this is happening to you. I wish there was something I could think of to help you out. The only way I can think of to get money fast is either check into cash type places or a pawn shop. It is a shame this lady is trying to take your families dog away from you. I really hope that someone can help you find an answer to get your dog back. I don't think what the shelter is doing is right at all.

Oh we have already talked about the check into cash places but we don't have them around here. Pawn shops are something else we don't have around here. we always said we would never do one of those check into cash places but we really wish we had them around here now. thank you

Most of the wifes i knew and was freinds with moved back to their home towns while there hubbys where in iraq and the couple that are still there can't keep her for us because they aren't allowed to have pets. Thank you so much for your response

Do you have a family member that you could borrow the money from? Someone that knows how much Alliya means to you and your family? You do not have the time to do a fund raiser beforehand, but maybe you could do a car wash or something afterwards to make up the funds and return the borrowed money as soon as possible. I really hope that you find some way. I am sorry that your faith in the lady's kindness was betrayed. Hopefully she is not really like that, but was only forced to do that by her job's guidelines? Anyway, I hope that you find some way to reclaim your husky. Good luck, Aretha.

That is so aggravating! A dog is part of the family, and a good companion for your children. A dog is irreplaceable. Are there things around the house, possibly, that you could sell immediately, or some sort of savings that you could pull from? I could not imagine losing my dog, so I cannot even begin to put myself into your shoes and imagine what you are feeling right now.

I have tried everything. I never thought i would ever email or call someone to get money. I have, I have emailed people like oprah and ellen, the news stations. I really have nothing i could sell that fast and what i do have for a yard sale wouldn't be worth that much. It is hard i feel so helpless. I feel like i have let her down. I have another call today i am gonna try and hope that it will help us in some way. thank you so much

How far away is the dog? I have picked up a pet at the shelter that had gotten away and never paid $500 dollars. You or hubby or a friend can't drive and pick the animal up?

Our dog is over 25 hours away. If we where to drive and pick her up it would cost more then it would to fly her for the $500. I wish it was that simple.

Call a lawyer and see if you can get a legal junction prohibiting anyone from taking her until you can get her home. You would probably have to prove she is yours ofcourse. I wish you well.
