As some of you know today is Download day for Firefox version 3.0 and they plan to create a guiness record for maximum downloads in one day. Obviously this will put a severe strain on their server even if they have multiple mirror sites. Will they be able to bear the load?
I presently cant access the spreadfirefox site and mozilla mainpage is hardly loading.
Did they bite off more than they can chew?!!

Haha, yeah, it seems like a little much. I would suspect them to be on top of it though, trying to break a record. They seem like people to get prepared.
Speaking of which, I should probably go download it.

Hmm... well now I'm getting a 'http/1.1 Service Unavailable' error.I can't get onto the Mozilla site.
Too bad, I want it. I guess I'll have to wait for a while.

It did crash but according to Yahoo news their back on line after an hour. 3 hours after its official start in my place I couldn't still open the spread firefox site. Its a good thing I receive a mail that point me to the link where to get it.
I'm now using it and I could really see and feel the difference between 2.x and 3.0. though to be fair with 2.x, I could clock its load time if all my addon is compatible with 3.0. But for browsing wooosssh its fast.)
