Telemarketers - Getting Rid Of Them Forever!

Telemarketers are one of the biggest pains in the rump for all of us. Did you know that there are many ways to deal with them? My solutions include: https://www.donotcall.gov/ All of my numbers, both home and cell phones are listed on the Do Not Call List registry. Telemarketing companies are required to purchase this list and use it faithfully. After 31 days, you should not be receiving those calls anymore, and if you are, collect their business information and file a complaint with the website above. I also tell them to remove my name and number from their call list, and that I have recorded the day and time that they called. I collect their name and business information and wait gracefully for them to call me again. When they do, I inform them that I will be hanging up to call my phone company to press charges for harassment and violation of law. And then I follow through! I know receive about 1 telemarketing call a month instead of 3-4 per day. It is amazing how making a little noise gets your point across. Here are some other rules to know: A telemarketer or bill collector by law, can only call your home once per day between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 9:00 P.M. With the invention of caller id, you can now record every time one of these people has called your home or your cell phone, and take appropriate action. I would love to hear how you handle telemarketers!

Hi ranting, thanks for sharing the latest information about the Telemarketers in your country, and the way how you tackle them. In our country this doesn’t create much problem as telemarketing is still not as popular as that in your place. It is really annoying to receive such disgusting calls especially during the time when we are busy with some important things. I think if the telemarketing business is organized properly and does not indulge in calling customers several times a day or frequently then this idea of telemarketing still could be accepted.
