My father in law is a homeopath. Last week, one of my girl's mom came to my house with her younger kid to get medicines from him for eczema. He prescribed some medicines and he also asked her to apply turmeric + unsalted butter every morning and he told her that it will reduce the inflammation also. I was surprised. Turmeric has lots of good things in it.

the baby's cheeks were really red in color with lots of marks. Liquid was coming out of it because of the itching. So dad in law asked her to apply turmeri+unsalted butter, make it into a fine paste, apply it every morning and wash it after an hour or two. During the night time, he asked her to apply sandal (we get sandal in the form of powder in Indian stores), with water, make it into a fine paste and apply and let it be like that through out the night. Wash it in the morning. This is really good i think. Also he prescribed some medicines.

Turmeric does have a lot of medicinal values. That is the reason Indians use it in their everyday food. It is useful if used internally as well as externally. And it has been used medicinally in India for centuries.
