Would you like to add a "announcement" page on MYLOT?

Hi All, I responded a discussion where the user want to meet people from a particular place. I thought that there will be people but if they dont read this discussion, then. Thats why i felt that if we have a announcement page where we can announc such thing like gettogether Or where new user will introduce themself. Just an idea what do you think? enjoy mylotting :)
